The AT&T app is pretty good... The benefit is that for $10 a month, any phone on your family plan can use it. The major con (besides it costing $10 per month) is the voice clarity. She's too hard to understand. The fact that maps are not stored on the device is fine with me... I live in Florida and AT&T coverage is excellent everywhere. I doubt I'd need it in too many places without a signal... but if I did, I could just buy the MobileNavigon app at that time and cancel the AT&T service.

I used Navigon for the first time today and I love it. Very easy to read (a lot better then my built in GPS) and best of all no monthly fees. I don't even mind that it doesn't say the street names. I also very much like the REAL signs that come up for an exit.

I used AT&T's TeleNAV for a week and really wasn't happy with it. It doesn't do landscape, which is my biggest issue and the sec is that it becomes very chatty when you have the traffic activated. I don't need to be told I am in traffic when I can see that.

I'm still holding out for TomTom's offering (hurry up, TomTom!!!) I've always been a fan of my TomTom unit, and if they can replicate the functionality on the iPhone, I will be a very happy camper, indeed.
