Yesterday AT&T released and iPhone app (iTunes link) that lets customers tell them where they drop calls and experience other general network failures. The app, named ‘Mark the Spot’, allows you to choose what kind of failures the iPhone is having and lets you plot against frequency of the outage. ’Mark the Spot’ is location aware or you can choose a location manual since obviously if you have no signal you can’t send out an issue report.
Thank god they are finally listening at this point. I have a friend that has been dropping calls for the last 3 or 4 months and he has his own Agent assigned to him from AT&T. I told him about ‘Mark the Spot’, he downloaded it right way and started submitting.

One Ping to “AT&T ‘Mark the Spot’ app – Get peace of mind that you are being heard!”

December 8th, 2009 at 8:46 amYes, I finally talked an AT&T engineer to “take responsibility” for my case last Thursday. Still no word back from her on getting this fixed.
I have about 85% of calls dropped everyday, all over the DC Metro area.
It is very frustrating, I have people that I call on a regular basis that expect to drop calls with me.
I feel like it is the late 80’s again with cell service.
